LUBRIKSOL - Test results of LUBRIKSOL additive in the Central Petroleum Laboratory in Warsaw (excerpt)
A CLN study report is available at the company's headquarters
The studies on the effect of LUBRIKSOL additive on improving low-sulfur lubricity (34 ppm) of base diesel fuel were made using the HFRR apparatus in accordance with the PN-EN ISO 12156-1: 2001 standard. The results of the tests presented in the graphs indicate that LUBRIKSOL allows to obtain standard lubricity by low-sulfur diesel oils.
Impact of LUBRIKSOL additive on the wear of friction elements
The additive effectively protects the fuel pump by reducing the wear of friction elements by approx. 90% in relation to the base fuel, and at the same time more than twice reduces the friction resistance of fuel lubricated parts.
The effect of LUBRIKSOL additive on the coefficient of friction
The results of tests and calculations are presented in the form of a table:
Test lubricant. Basic Diesel Basic Diesel + Lubriksol, 1:1000 Basic Diesel + Lubriksol, 1:500 Average diameter of the trace of wear (MWSD), μm 638 411 325 Corrected diameter of the wear trace (WS1,4), μm 645 407 319 Volumetric wear, 105 µm3 28,43 4,50 1,70 Relative wear, % 100 15,8 6,0 Reduction of wear, % 0 84,2 94,0 Coefficient of friction 0,394 0,176 0,141 Summary:
- LUBRIKSOL applied in the ratio of 1: 1000 in relation to the low-sulfur diesel allows to obtain lubricity, exceeding the requirements of the Polish Standard.
- Increasing the dose of the additive further improves fuel lubricity by reducing friction and wear.
