OUR HISTORY

PETROL was established in 1989 as a civil company of Maciej Paczuski and Ryszard Pulawski.

In 1989 PETROL commenced producing an extrusion additive for plastics called MAZAMID. The technology of MAZAMID was designed at Institute of Chemistry, Warsaw University of Technology in Plock with participation of both PETROL partners and applied for a patent. MAZAMID was introduced to production on the basis of a license contract between PETROL and Warsaw University of Technology. That fact enabled to enter PETROL into the Register of Innovative and Introductory Units.

In 1990 PETROL began production and sale of a cold filter plugging point and pour point depressant for diesel fuel called DIESOL. DIESOL was developed solely by PETROL. Tests concerning DIESOL were carried out at:
- Institute of Vehicles, Faculty of Automobiles and Heavy Machinery Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology in the range of additive influence on the performance of a diesel engine fuel supply system at low temperature,
- Research and Development Centre, Factory of Motor Trucks in Starachowice in the range of additive influence on operation parameters of a standard diesel engine 359,
- Institute of Petroleum Processing, Branch in Warsaw in the range of additive influence on standardized properties of diesel fuel..

PETROL awarded the First Prize and Gold Medal of Polish Federation of Engineering Associations for DIESOL development and its implementation to production. DIESOL sale increased from several hundred liters in 1991 to over 300 thousand liters in 1996. DIESOL is still improved; its composition, range of application and effectiveness are adjusted to changing quality of fuel on the Polish and foreign markets.

In 1992 PETROL started distribution of a new engine coolant called PETRYGO. Under the of contract with Petrochemia Plock over 700 tons of PETRYGO was sold from 1992 to 1995; 156 tons was exported.

In 1994 PETROL started to export DIESOL to such countries as for example: Belarus, Lithuania and Russia.

In 1997 a new additive, increasing water solubility in fuel was found in the PETROL offer which was called AQUASOL. AQUASOL was developed at Institute of Chemistry, Warsaw University of Technology in Plock with participation of both PETROL partners for Petrochemia Plock.

PETROL has been working in a new business premises in industrial district of Plock, since 1998. Tanks as well as a storage and production room are located on the over 0,5-hectare site. The total capacity of tanks is 150 m3. The area of the room is about 210 m2 and its cubature is nearly 1000 m3. The room is fitted out with the chassis and transport equipment. PETROL has own transport facilities and competent employees who guarantee professional service for customers.

In 2008, in reply to market demand, PETROL took production of two new additives designed to LPG fuel: AQUAGASOL and CORIMSOL.

In 2017, PETROL started the production of a multifunctional MULTISSOL1000 diesel fuel additive, which allows PREMIUM class fuel to be obtained.

In 2018, PETROL began manufacturing a solubilizing and emulsifying package for mineral lubricating oils called TCA-LZ800R.
